Getting to the Contest Venue

The Grand Hotel Bohemia is located near the subway station “Náměstí Republiky” on Metro line “B”.

Public Transport

Check the Prague Public Transport Authority website for information about fares and available tickets.
A 24-hour ticket (CZK 80 / € 3) or a 3-day ticket (CZK 220 / € 8) is recommended for conference visitors.

Airport

  • Taxi – expensive but fastest way.
  • Bus #100 can be used to get to the subway station “Zličín” on Metro line “B”.

Train

You will probably arrive at the main railway station “Hlavní nádraží”. Use the subway to get to the hotel – you will have to change from line “B” to “C” at “Florenc” station.

Car

At the Grand Hotel Bohemia, valet parking is available in a guarded garage.

From Austria via Brno (Brünn), Motorway D1 (E65)

  • Enter the country at Hatě, follow road E59 and join D1 (E65) or enter at Mikulov, follow road E461 to Brno and join D1 (E65).
  • Follow Motorway D1 to the city center where it turns into Legerova street.
  • Pass the Museum of National History.
  • Continue along Wilsonova street, and pass the Main Railway Station.
  • Cross the river on Hlávkův Most Bridge.
  • Keep right and take the second exit in the direction of Malá Strana.
  • Turn left at the third traffic light.
  • Cross the river again on Štefánikův Most Bridge.
  • Continue straight along Revolučni Street.
  • Turn right at the department store Kotva.
  • Turn into Králodvorská street, and continue to the Grand Hotel Bohemia.

From Austria via České Budějovice (Budweis), Road E55

  • Enter the country at Dolní Dvořiště and follow road E55 to České Budějovice, Tábor, Benešov.
  • Join motorway D1 (E65) and follow it to Prague (Praha).

From Germany via Plzeň (Pilsen), Motorway D5 (E50)

  • Enter the country at Rozvadov and follow D5 (E50) to Plzeň and Prague (Praha).
  • Follow Motorway D5 in the direction of the Center (Centrum), exit to Jeremiášova street.
  • Follow Jeremiášova street, which turns into Slánská street.
  • Turn right at its end to Karlovarská street, which turns into Bělohorská street.
  • Bělohorská street turns into Patočkova, which turns later into Marie Horákové street.
  • Pass the football stadium AC Sparta on the left.
  • At the next traffic light, turn right and continue through the tunnel.
  • Cross the river on the Štefánikův Most Bridge.
  • Continue along Revoluční Street.
  • Turn right at the department store Kotva.
  • Turn into Králodvorská street, and continue to the Grand Hotel Bohemia.
