Area D2 Conference
March 25, 2006 - Hradec Králové
On Saturday March 25, Toastmasters from the Pardubice Enthusiasts and Prague Speakers clubs traveled to Hradec Králové to take part in the Area D2 Conference, hosted by the Queens Town Toastmasters.
Program highlights included a welcome from Filip Čečka, the host club President, a keynote speech from Area Governor Tomáš Wágner, and an Educational Session by Sonja Kosman. The audience also enjoyed listening to numerous evaluations of Tomáš Kala's target speech. Lastly, speech contestants orated on topics ranging from raising grandchildren to finding one's Toastmaster voice.

- 1st place: Monika Jeřábková, Prague Speakers
- 2nd place: Filip Čečka, Queens Town
- 3rd place: Valerie Wágnerová, Pardubice Enthusiasts
International Speech Contest:
- 1st place: Katherine Pratt, Queens Town
- 2nd place: Karin Genton-L'Epée, Prague Speakers
- 3rd place: Marie Bíbrová, Pardubice Enthusiasts
Monika and Katherine will compete for the Czech Republic in the upcoming Division D conference in Prague on April 8th, 2006. Congratulations to them both and thank you to all Area Conference organizers for making such a special event!
