Prague Speakers Club Contest
March 15, 2006On Wednesday, March 15, the Prague Speakers Toastmasters Club held their 3rd club contest in Evaluations and in Speech Giving. Visitors and Toastmasters members alike were treated to a wide array of evaluations on Christoph Hohn's target speech. Christoph gave a very convincing speech on the benefits both to ourselves and the global environment of going vegetarian.
We then listened to two of our most experienced speakers present their speeches for the Speech Contest. Anthony Achmat spoke movingly on child abuse and introduced us to a child abuse telephone help line in the Czech Republic, and Karin tied in Toastmasters skills with her speech on helping each public speaker find their best personal voice.
Many thanks to all participants and organizers for helping to make this contest a great success! The next step will be to travel to Hradec Kralove on Saturday, March 25. Anthony and Karin will represent Prague Speakers in the speech contest, and Gulnoza Saidazimova and Monika Jeřábková will compete as evaluators.
